Will Infinium Labs Ever Die?
I can’t believe the Phantom is still making news. Now it seems Infinium Labs have convinced someone else to help fund this vaporware project. For those of you who don’t know, Infinium Labs announced their “revolutionary” new console, The Phantom, back in 2003. It was overhyped to the point that no one really gave it a second thought, we all knew it would die as soon as they ran out of startup money. The problem is it hasn’t–these people continue to get funding for a non-existant end product. How Infinium Labs continues to do this is beyond me. The PC hardware site Hard OCP even ran an expose on the companie’s shady CEO on how he makes a habit of stealing startup money.

Update: Penny Arcade has put up their take on the situation.
